Obama Praised 'Searing and Timely' Book by Ayers

Obama Praised 'Searing and Timely' Book by Ayers - FOXNews.com Elections

Barack Obama, who has consistently downplayed his relationship with William Ayers during his presidential campaign, once gave a glowing endorsement of a book by the former domestic terrorist and was mentioned by name in the book itself.

Remember folks, this is NOT about whether Obama is a terrorist. No one thinks Obama is a terrorist. This about the type of people Barack Obama chooses to associate with. Not people who he just happens to know - people he chooses to know. It goes to the heart of the character of Obama himself that he has to distance himself from everyone who has had a significant impact on his life.

His friend and co-worker of ten years, Bill Ayers - who's "just a guy" in his neighborhood

His friend and major fundraiser, Tony Rezko - Whose name he will not speak.

His priest of 20 years, Jeremiah Wright - whose sermons he apparently never listened to.

His friend, Khalid al-Mansour, former Black Panther leader that helped get him into Harvard - um...who???

His neighbor of 15 years, Minister Louis Farrakhan - apparently Obama doesn't know who he is.

None of these people would disqualify Obama from running for President - so why does Obama insist on minimizing his relationships with people who obviously had so much of an effect on his life?

Remember people, the trouble with Clinton wasn't that he had oral sex with an intern in the White House (no matter how much the Democrats want you to think it was). It was about his dishonesty about it - both under oath and with the American people. Character matters people!

Everything that needs to be said about Bush has been. There's nothing more that I can add. When the emperor is standing there naked for everyone to see it doesn't make sense to tell everyone he's wearing no clothes.

But I'm wondering why your "Quest for the Truth" doesn't include people who McCain has been "pallin' around with."

Eg...Nathan Sproul, whom the RNC has hired to do voter registration drives. He's famous for voter registration fraud throughout the country.

Eg. Oleg Deripaska. He's a Russian metals mogul who has become the 9th richest man in the world...mostly by assassinating his rivals. He was banned from entering the United States because of his past. McCain and his campaign manager Rick Davis intervened for Deripaska so he could enter the US in order to sign a contract with the World Bank. The contract made it possible for Russia, through Deripaska to take virtual control of Montenegro (a Nation that McCain himself was instrumental in liberating).

I could go on. The reality is that politicians hang out with pretty shady folks all the time. That's why NO POLITICIAN should be trusted...not Obama...and certainly not McCain. Your blog is really good at digging dirt, but by blindly holding one candidate to a standard and not the other, that's demagoguery...not truth.

OK...just read this in the Washington Post. Wasn't looking for an example here, but this is good. Turns out that Cindy McCain is getting a free portable cell tower from both AT$T and Verizon at "her" ranch (that she owns because her husband doesn't, I guess). Apparently the cell industry decided not to build a permanent tower in the area because it was too sparsely populated, but Mrs. McCain is "allowing them to use her property free of charge" (paraphrase) in exchange for the cell coverage.

Of course this couldn't have anything to do with McCain being the senior member of the SCC which oversees the telecommunications industry. Nooooo...there's no conflict of interest here.

I have a feeling if Obama received a free gift related to one of his committees, though, all hell would break loose on this blog.
