DUBIOUS DONATIONS

DUBIOUS DONATIONS - New York Post

Barack Obama has proved the greatest fund-raiser of all time by a long shot. His campaign has raised more than $600 million - $150 million in September alone. But the campaign has also failed to adopt standard protections against fraudulent giving.

...

Last Thursday, he decided to conduct an experiment.

He went to the Obama campaign Web site and made a donation under the name "John Galt" (the hero of Ayn Rand's novel "Atlas Shrugged"). He provided the equally fictitious address "1957 Ayn Rand Lane, Galts Gulch, CO 99999."

He checked the box next to $15 and entered his actual credit-card number and expiration date. He was then taken to the next page and notified that his donation had been processed.

He then tried the same experiment on the McCain site, which rejected the transaction. He returned to the Obama site and made three more donations using the names Osama bin Laden, Saddam Hussein and Bill Ayers, all with different addresses but the same credit card. The transactions all went through. By Saturday, he'd reported that the transactions had all posted to his credit-card account.

Obama's Amazing Fannie Contributions

Obama's Amazing Fannie Contributions - WSJ.com

...Mr. Waxman has apparently decided it's safe to hold a hearing after those inconveniently partisan things called elections are over. He will call several ex-CEOs of the mortgage lenders, including Mr. Raines. Republicans are already making a list of all of the inconvenient facts that won't be aired until it's too late to influence voters at the ballot box. For one, who knew that Senator Barack Obama was the largest single recipient of Fannie Mae campaign contributions over the last 20 years, save for Senate Banking Committee Chairman Chris Dodd? More amazing still, Mr. Obama pulled off this feat even though he had only been in the Senate for four of those 20 years.

Obama Praised 'Searing and Timely' Book by Ayers

Obama Praised 'Searing and Timely' Book by Ayers - FOXNews.com Elections

Barack Obama, who has consistently downplayed his relationship with William Ayers during his presidential campaign, once gave a glowing endorsement of a book by the former domestic terrorist and was mentioned by name in the book itself.

Remember folks, this is NOT about whether Obama is a terrorist. No one thinks Obama is a terrorist. This about the type of people Barack Obama chooses to associate with. Not people who he just happens to know - people he chooses to know. It goes to the heart of the character of Obama himself that he has to distance himself from everyone who has had a significant impact on his life.

His friend and co-worker of ten years, Bill Ayers - who's "just a guy" in his neighborhood

His friend and major fundraiser, Tony Rezko - Whose name he will not speak.

His priest of 20 years, Jeremiah Wright - whose sermons he apparently never listened to.

His friend, Khalid al-Mansour, former Black Panther leader that helped get him into Harvard - um...who???

His neighbor of 15 years, Minister Louis Farrakhan - apparently Obama doesn't know who he is.

None of these people would disqualify Obama from running for President - so why does Obama insist on minimizing his relationships with people who obviously had so much of an effect on his life?

Remember people, the trouble with Clinton wasn't that he had oral sex with an intern in the White House (no matter how much the Democrats want you to think it was). It was about his dishonesty about it - both under oath and with the American people. Character matters people!

Complaint hits Rezko land deal

Washington Times - Complaint hits Rezko land deal

A former Illinois bank official, now claiming whistleblower status, says bank officials replaced a loan reappraisal that he prepared for a Chicago property that was purchased by the wife of now-convicted felon Tony Rezko, part of which was later sold to next-door neighbor Barack Obama.

Nothing to see here, folks. Move on. This "just a guy" in Obama's neighborhood. Probably never even spoke to him.

Never mind the fact that he purchased a piece of property that Obama couldn't afford and then sold him the usable portion of it for way less than market value.

Never mind the fact that he raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for Obama.

Never mind that Rezko has been convicted of soliciting kickbacks from companies wanting to do business with the State of Illinois (remind me, who was a state senator there?).

Never mind all of that. We've got a picture of President Bush and you can actually see Jack Abramoff in the background - he's the real criminal, your honor...

If America manages to elect this character (or lack thereof), the people that voted for him will get exactly what they deserve. The rest of us will just have to suffer along with them.

Fictitious Donors Found in Obama Finance Records - NYTimes.com

The NY Times?? THE NY TIMES??? I'm stunned. Pleased but stunned. Perhaps the Clintons have begun making their move...

Fictitious Donors Found in Obama Finance Records - NYTimes.com

Last December, someone using the name “Test Person,” from “Some Place, UT,” made a series of contributions, the largest being $764, to Senator Barack Obama’s presidential campaign totaling $2,410.07.

Someone identifying himself as “Jockim Alberton,” from 1581 Leroy Avenue in Wilmington, Del., began giving to Mr. Obama last November, contributing $10 and $25 at a time for a total of $445 through the end of February.

The only problem? There is no Leroy Avenue in Wilmington. And Jockim Alberton, who listed his employer and occupation as “Fdsa Fdsa,” does not show up in a search of public records.

An analysis of campaign finance records by The New York Times this week found nearly 3,000 donations to Mr. Obama, the Democratic nominee, from more than a dozen people with apparently fictitious donor information.

The Home Stretch - A call to action

Okay folks, it's time to get it ramped up! Four weeks to go until election day and the race is still very close. I am certain that there will be more and more stories out there about Obama and William Ayers, Tony Rezko and a host of others coming out. The democrats will call this "swift boating". I call it bringing out the truth and not leaving your opponent the luxury of creating a good lie in response.

I, myself, will be posting stories that have more and more of an impact. Some of them are things I've resisted posting before because I was hoping not to get too serious about the election. I was hoping America would figure out who this guy is long before now. But it hasn't.

It is time that Mr. Obama come clean on Bill Ayers. It is time for Obama to provide some details on what he considers "responsible" when it comes to off-shore drilling, nuclear power, Iraq withdrawal, etc. Everything Obama is really against, he says he would do if it can be done "responsibly". We need to know what this means. It is time for Obama to own up to his votes on the Born Alive Infant Protection Act. It is time for Obama to tell America why his chief economic advisor is one of the people most largely responsible for the mortgage mess we are in. It is time for Obama to come clean on his dealings with ACORN. It is time for Obama to answer the questions about almost $200 million in unidentified campaign contributions.

To the Mad Sociologist and any other people who disagree with me - sorry. This is my blog and you've got yours. I am more than happy to debate, discuss and disagree and I actually enjoy doing so. But make no mistake - my purpose over the next four weeks is to do everything I ethically can to help get John McCain and Sarah Palin elected. This means there will be no lies posted here, but there will be plenty of questions and plenty of information that I believe people need to know.

To those on "our side": It is time for you to do your part to ensure that our country does not fall into the hands of a liberal President, liberal House and liberal Senate with two liberal Supreme Court justices about to retire. There is too much at stake.

Our party is not perfect - far from it. We have some corrupt politicians, money coming from places it shouldn't and people who put their best interests before our country's. We will deal with them. We must if we are to survive. But allowing the Democrats complete control over this mess they have helped create is not an acceptable solution.

I believe that John McCain and Sarah Palin will do whatever they can to root out this kind of crap from our government. They will not be completely successful but they will be a step in the right direction. If they step on some Republican toes to get it done - then maybe those toes need stepped on.

Your job, dear readers, is to visit here frequently and let people know about this site and other sites like it. Don't let the lies go unanswered.

Who Is Buying The White House?

IBDeditorials.com: Editorials, Political Cartoons, and Polls from Investor's Business Daily -- Who Is Buying The White House?

Sources of more than $190 million in Obama election contributions are unidentified. Will a federal investigation find foreigners illegally rigging the most important presidential election in history?

Newsmax reported last week that Sen. Barack Obama's campaign has collected "the largest pool of unidentified money that has ever flooded into the U.S. election system, before or after the McCain-Feingold campaign finance reforms of 2002."

Federal Election Commission data show that some $222 million of the cash Obama has collected came in the form of contributions of $200 or less, with the Democratic nominee's campaign identifying the donors of less than $40 million of that sum.

Campaigns may accept donations of less than $200 without providing the donors' names and addresses in campaign finance reports, but Sen. John McCain's camp has made its full donor database available on the Internet. Independent campaign finance watchdog organizations have asked the Obama campaign to list all its donors, as well, but it's refused. What is Obama hiding?

Do Facts Matter?

Thomas Sowell :: Townhall.com :: Do Facts Matter?

from the article:

The current financial bailout crisis has propelled Barack Obama back into a substantial lead over John McCain-- which is astonishing in view of which man and which party has had the most to do with bringing on this crisis.

It raises the question: Do facts matter? Or is Obama's rhetoric and the media's spin enough to make facts irrelevant?

Fact Number One: It was liberal Democrats, led by Senator Christopher Dodd and Congressman Barney Frank, who for years-- including the present year-- denied that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac were taking big risks that could lead to a financial crisis.

It was Senator Dodd, Congressman Frank and other liberal Democrats who for years refused requests from the Bush administration to set up an agency to regulate Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.

It was liberal Democrats, again led by Dodd and Frank, who for years pushed for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to go even further in promoting subprime mortgage loans, which are at the heart of today's financial crisis.

Alan Greenspan warned them four years ago. So did the Chairman of the Council of Economic Advisers to the President. So did Bush's Secretary of the Treasury, five years ago.

Yet, today, what are we hearing? That it was the Bush administration "right-wing ideology" of "de-regulation" that set the stage for the financial crisis. Do facts matter?...

Lawmaker Accused of Fannie Mae Conflict of Interest

Well, well, well...

FOXNews.com - Lawmaker Accused of Fannie Mae Conflict of Interest - Politics | Republican Party | Democratic Party | Political Spectrum

WASHINGTON —  Unqualified home buyers were not the only ones who benefited from Massachusetts Rep. Barney Frank’s efforts to deregulate Fannie Mae throughout the 1990s.

So did Frank’s partner, a Fannie Mae executive at the forefront of the agency’s push to relax lending restrictions.

Now that Fannie Mae is at the epicenter of a financial meltdown that threatens the U.S. economy, some are raising new questions about Frank's relationship with Herb Moses, who was Fannie’s assistant director for product initiatives. Moses worked at the government-sponsored enterprise from 1991 to 1998, while Frank was on the House Banking Committee, which had jurisdiction over Fannie.

Obama's fishy $200 million

The American Spectator

An auditor for the Federal Election Commission is attempting to have his bosses seek a formal investigation into the collection by the Obama for President campaign of more than $200 million in potentially illegal political donations, including millions of dollars of illegal, foreign donations, and has sought a request for assistance from the Department of Justice or Federal Bureau of Investigation. But the analyst's requests have largely been ignored. "I can't get anyone to move. I believe we are looking at a hijacking of our political system that makes the Clinton and Gore fundraising scandals pale in comparison. And no one here wants to touch it."

Democrats in their own words Covering up the Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac Scam that caused our Economic Cri

Anyone that can watch this video, which is absolute and incontrovertible proof of the Democrats complicitness in the failure of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, and still say that the current crisis is due to "the failed economic policies of George Bush" should immediately have their right to vote revoked.

Family Told Obama NOT To Wear Soldier Son's Bracelet... Where is Media?

Family Told Obama NOT To Wear Soldier Son's Bracelet... Where is Media? | NewsBusters.org

Barack Obama played the "me too" game during the Friday debates on September 26 after Senator John McCain mentioned that he was wearing a bracelet with the name of Cpl. Matthew Stanley, a resident of New Hampshire and a soldier that lost his life in Iraq in 2006. Obama said that he too had a bracelet. After fumbling and straining to remember the name, he revealed that his had the name of Sergeant Ryan David Jopek of Merrill, Wisconsin.

Shockingly, however, Madison resident Brian Jopek, the father of Ryan Jopek, the young soldier who tragically lost his life to a roadside bomb in 2006, recently said on a Wisconsin Public Radio show that his family had asked Barack Obama to stop wearing the bracelet with his son's name on it. Yet Obama continues to do so despite the wishes of the family.

Radio host Glenn Moberg of the show "Route 51" asked Mr. Jopek, a man who believes in the efforts in Iraq and is not in favor of Obama's positions on the war, what he and his ex-wife think of Obama continually using their son's name on the campaign trail. (h/t D. Keith Howington of www.dehavelle.com)

Jopek began by saying that his ex-wife was taken aback, even upset, that Obama has made the death of her son a campaign issue. Jopek says his wife gave Obama the bracelet because "she just wanted Mr. Obama to know Ryan's name." Jopek went on to say that "she wasn't looking to turn it into a big media event" and "just wanted it to be something between Barack Obama and herself." Apparently, they were all shocked it became such a big deal.

But, he also said that his ex-wife has refused further interviews on the matter and that she wanted Obama to stop wearing the reminder of her son's sacrifice that he keeps turning into a campaign soundbyte.

Burning Down The House: What Caused Our Economic Crisis?

This video is extremely hard to follow because it moves so quickly but it is too important to be ignored. Turn down the volume and pause where you need to.
This should be a 60-minute (not "60 Minutes") special on EVERY network but we all know they don't want to cover this.

I hope this video creator comes out with something that people can slow down and pay attention to. Apparently it is the 10-minute time limit on YouTube that forced him to try to cram all of this in.

Unbelievably damaging stuff.

Media Not Reporting Failed Financial Agencies Are Big Donors to Obama

Alex Jones' Infowars: There's a war on for your mind!

In a 2005 video Daniel Mudd, at the time the interim CEO of the catastrophically failed mortgage lender Fannie Mae, affirmed his fealty and that of Fannie Mae to the Congressional Black Caucus. The top three campaign donation recipients were Democrats, number two of which was Barack Obama, yet the media is laying mum on these facts. One wonders what would be going on in the media if John McCain were a top recipient of campaign donations from a market crashing, government bail-out getting organization like Fannie Mae?

The three top campaign donation recipients from Fannie Mae were all Democrats. Chairman of the Senate Banking Committee Senator Chris Dodd (D-CT) got $165,000, Senator Barack Obama (D-IL) was given $126,349, and failed presidential candidate Senator John Kerry (D-MA) took $111,000 from the folks at Fannie Mae. Is this information getting out there?

Most of the top Fannie executives were also Democrats each of whom worked closely with Democratic presidents and Barack Obama. Franklin Raines, Clinton White House budget director, ran Fannie Mae and pocketed $50 million. Jamie Gorelick was a Clinton Justice Department Official (famous for adding to our intelligence failures helping cause the attacks on 9/11) was paid $26 million. Jim Johnson, who most recently served on Obama’s VP search committee, was the CEO of Fannie Mae and has also made millions. These Clinton/Obama associates sat at the head of a failing financial agency all the while raking in millions and donating hundreds of thousands to top Democrats.

So what, you may ask? Well, there is a reason that these Fannie Mae officials donated to Democrats. It was because Democrats continued to stymie Republican efforts to fix these failing lending agencies. Democrats protected these rotten lending practices and the Fannie Mae executives knew who were the sugar daddies that needed greasing.

Obama's $100K Englewood garden grant being probed

Obama's $100K Englewood garden grant being probed :: CHICAGO SUN-TIMES :: The Watchdogs

A $100,000 state grant for a botanic garden in Englewood that then-state Sen. Barack Obama awarded in 2001 to a group headed by a onetime campaign volunteer is now under investigation by the Illinois attorney general amid new questions, prompted by Chicago Sun-Times reports, about whether the money might have been misspent.

The garden was never built. And now state records obtained by the Sun-Times show $65,000 of the grant money went to the wife of Kenny B. Smith, the Obama 2000 congressional campaign volunteer who heads the Chicago Better Housing Association, which was in charge of the project for the blighted South Side neighborhood.

The 5 Richest Senators

The 50 Richest Members of Congress - Roll Call

I'm confused. This can't be right. As I scan the list of the richest Senators, I am somewhat taken a back by the fact that the partyo fo "the working man" seems to be filled with ultra-rich elitists. Someone needs to recalculate.

The 50 Richest Members of Congress
September 22, 2008, 12:00 a.m.
By Paul Singer, Jennifer Yachnin and Casey Hynes
Roll Call Staff

..Roll Call’s annual attempt to rank the riches of Members of Congress is hampered by one fundamental flaw: It is based on the lawmakers’ financial disclosure forms, which are extraordinarily unreliable sources of information.

The disclosure rules allow Members to report assets in broad categories, so there is no way to tell the difference between a $20 million investment and a $5 million investment. The top category on the Members’ forms is “over $50 million,” so it is impossible to accurately account for anything worth more than that — like a professional sports team, for example. There is also a gaping loophole for assets owned by the Members’ spouse or dependent children; anything worth more than $1 million in value can be reported as “over $1 million.” There is no way to tell whether that is $1.2 million or $1.2 billion.

Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass.)
$230.98 million

The Massachusetts Senator claims the mantel of richest Member in the 110th Congress. Kerry’s actual holdings, however — including those of wife Teresa Heinz Kerry, widow to ketchup heir Sen. John Heinz (R-Pa.) — are likely much greater.

In an April 2008 article, Forbes.com estimated Heinz Kerry’s net worth at $1 billion.

Kerry’s disclosure forms list the value of more than 180 assets — including Heinz family trusts and investment funds — only as “over $1 million,” rather than the more specific ranges including $1 million to $5 million. Senators are allowed to list assets in the “over $1 million” category only if the items are held independently by a spouse or dependent child.

Sen. Jay Rockefeller (D-W.Va.)
$80.40 million

A descendant of oil tycoon John D. Rockefeller, the West Virginian’s vast assets remained stable in 2007, as his net worth increased by a little more than 1 percent.

Rockefeller’s fortunes are stored primarily in three blind trusts with JPMorgan Chase & Co., Wachovia Corp. and United National Bank, valued at more than $50 million, $25 million to $50 million, and $5 million to $25 million, respectively.

Another family trust is listed at simply “over $1 million.”

The Senator lists at least $5.5 million in debt on two loans, down from $6.5 million in 2006, when he listed an additional $1 million loan from United National Bank in Charleston, W.Va.

Sen. Frank Lautenberg (D-N.J.)
$55.33 million

Lautenberg, who made millions from the payroll processing company he created five decades ago, reported that his total minimum assets jumped about 24 percent, from $45 million in 2006, but that number is still not very revealing. Lautenberg’s two biggest assets are two blind trusts that he set up for himself, each worth $5 million to $25 million. Together they count for $10 million of his assets for this list, though they could be worth five times that amount.

The major increase over last year appears to be in his wife’s assets. She has several family trusts in her name, mostly holding real estate, and between 2006 and 2007 she received additional assets from her mother, Lautenberg’s office said.

So in 2006, Lautenberg reported that through an entity called LCBS Corp. his wife held “over $1 million” of Mira Loma Associates, a company holding residential real estate in Riverside, Calif. In 2007, Mira Loma was listed twice at “over $1 million” — once as part of LCBS and once as a separate asset in Bonnie Englebardt Lautenberg’s name. Several of her family trusts also purchased real estate and other assets worth more than $5 million in 2007.

Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.)
$52.34 million

Together with her husband, financier Richard Blum, Feinstein claims a diversified portfolio that grew by $1.8 million, or an increase of just under 4 percent, since 2006.

The Californian lists assets with her husband that include ownership of all or part of numerous limited partnerships.

Among those, the Blum Family Partners, owned entirely by Blum, claims “over $1 million” in stock in RAE Systems, a manufacturer of chemical and radiation detection equipment. The fund also includes “over $1 million” in a real estate investment trust.

In addition, Feinstein lists a $5 million to $25 million investment in Carlton Hotel Properties in San Francisco and owns condos in both Tahoe City, Calif., and on Kauai in Hawaii, both valued at $1 million to $5 million.

Feinstein also lists at least $2 million in debt to Bank of America for two loans made to Blum Capital Partners.

Sen. Edward Kennedy (D-Mass.)
$47.62 million

Much of Kennedy’s wealth stems from family trusts, and the Massachusetts Senator reported almost no change in 2007, with an increase of less than 1 percent.

Kennedy lists one family trust valued from $25 million to $50 million, as well as four trusts worth at least $5 million each and a blind trust totaling at least $1 million.

The Bay State lawmaker also owns a rental property in Hyannisport, Mass., valued at at least $1 million and lists a plot of undeveloped land in Lafayette, La., owned by his wife, worth from $500,000 to $1 million.

Kennedy lists $1 million in mortgage debt from Northern Trust Co. for his Hyannisport property.

Devastating Video for the media to ignore: Obama talks about job Bill Ayers Gave him as qualification for US Senate

Devastating Video for the media to ignore: Obama talks about job Bill Ayers Gave him as qualification for US Senate | Infidels Are Cool

Another OUCH for Obama.  Geesh, stuff just keeps coming out about the man who the media and liberal-elite fully trust without recognition of ANY background check, yet are “terrorized” at the thought of a vice-president who happens to be the most popular governor in the country.

Here Obama is, in an interview, laying out his job qualifications for the US Senate, and one of the things he cites as a qualification is being the Chairman of the Board for the Annenberg Challenge, which was set up by Bill Ayers himself, including a “meet the candidate” event for Obama hosted at Bill ayers home.  Things just keep geting worse and worse for the “Unknown Chosen One”.

Thanks to Lucianne.com for pointing to this video.  Please try to ignore the "Terminator" music and pay attention to the details.  And remember, this is just some guy Obama knew...

Biden Killed Asbestos Bill For Top Donors

Biden Killed Asbestos Bill For Top Donors Sweetness & Light

What a shock.

Mr. Biden killed legislation that would have hurt his top donors, relatives and friends — who all just happen to be involved in highly lucrative asbestos class action lawsuits...

...The senator has longstanding relationships with law firms that donated to his congressional races and his two bids for the White House. Top contributors for his recent run were the Law Office of Peter Angelos in Baltimore, Maryland, which donated $156,250; SimmonsCooper in East Alton, Illinois contributed $146,600; Pachulski Stang Ziehl & Jones in Wilmington gave $145,625; and Young Conaway Stargatt & Taylor in Wilmington gave $127,979.

Many of those firms have handled asbestos and bankruptcy cases, issues Biden has weighed in on from his seat on the judicial committee. Biden was a critic of the failed Fairness in Asbestos Injury Resolution (FAIR) Act of 2005, which would have trimmed returns on future litigation and hurt firms like SimmonsCooper, a billion dollar asbestos practice which used son Beau’s former law firm, Bifferato, Gentilotti, Biden & Balick (now Bifferato Gentilotti), as local counsel to file asbestos suits in Delaware. Angelos’ firm also represents asbestos clients, and Stargatt & Taylor has handled mass tort asbestos cases, representing court-appointed advocates for unknown future claimants–individuals representing people who have been exposed to asbestos but have not yet become sick.
